#3 Resolution for Healthy Hearing: Protect Your Head
Wearing proper head gear and safety equipment when participating in physical activities is absolutely crucial to your long-term health. Durable helmets, warm head coverings such as cowls or balaclavas, and proper face guards are among the items to wear, depending on the sport or hobby you're participating in.
"Sports are so much a part of enjoying life that you never want to risk losing the ability to participate in them or to fully interact with a favourite activity," says MJ DeSousa, our Director of Professional Practice.
"Hearing loss is one of the things you risk when you step into physical situations without taking the proper precautions. Be sure to follow the recommended guidelines for appropriate head gear no matter the activity."
