Hearing Health Tip of the Day - How to Get Used to Your Hearing Aids

Adapting to a new hearing aid requires patience, practice and communication. Make sure you give yourself time to adjust and begin by testing it around family and friends at a low volume.

It is helpful to remember that in most cases, a person with new hearing aids will be hearing sounds they have not heard in a long time. During this adjustment stage, the brain will “re-learn” how to process the sounds again.  This article has some great tips on getting used to your new hearing aids.
